  • Once you have completed the online registration form your audition time will be emailed to you within a few days.

  • No payment is due at this time.

  • If you have been selected for the Main Stage Cast, you will receive a callback.  

  • Tuition payments will be collected in person at your callback.

  • Main Stage cast members must be willing to accept any role including ensemble in order to be considered.


Tuition: $350 (due September 14)

  • Those who have been selected for the Main Stage cast will receive a callback.  

  • Tuition checks will be collected in person at your callback, September 14, and no later.

  • Make checks payable to: Young Actors Stage

  • Write your cast member's name on your check.

  • If you choose the Parent Committee "Opt Out" please include the $100 fee with your tuition payment.


Parent Commitment  

  • By registering for this workshop session, each family agrees to complete one volunteer position.  Please see the Parent Committee Form on the online registration page for jobs and descriptions.  If you are unable to commit to a parent position, please include the $100 "opt out" fee with your tuition payment.

Additional Expenses

  • Each cast member will be required to provide their own base costume, which generally includes a base leotard, tights, and dance shoes, or changing shorts, t-shirt, socks and dance shoes.

General Auditions
Saturday, September 7 (by appointment)
Location: YAS Studio (3747 W. Pacific Ave, 95820)


Once you have submitted the Online Registration Form your audition time will be emailed to you within a few days.


  1. Prepare one song in the style of the show. (You can choose to sing a song from the show, but it is not required.) Bring the instrumental version (without voice) of your song on a digital device (phone, iPad, etc.) A speaker will be provided.

  2. Choose one  audition side (scene) from the Broadway Jr. website.  Follow the link below to Broadway Jr.'s “Audition Central”.  Select “Disney's Frozen Jr” from the drop down menu.  There you will find a list of the characters in the show.  Choose ONE side (under the “script” column) for your audition.  A reader will read the opposite role with you. (click here)

  3. If you are new to YAS please bring your resume.

Saturday, September 14
Location: YAS Studio

The callback list and schedule will be emailed after the general auditions. Those called back will be cast in the production.  Cast members will be asked to dance, read sides from the script, and sing for specific roles. Please remember to bring your tuition check.  Liability forms will be available to fill out.


Studio Rehearsals
September 20 - November 2
Fridays (4:30-7:30pm) & Saturdays (2:00-6:00pm)
Location: YAS Studio

  • Rehearsal schedules may vary depending on what is being rehearsed.  You may not be scheduled for the entire session.  

  • You will receive a detailed schedule once the cast list has been posted.

  • Bring your script a pencil and water.

  • Wear comfortable clothes you can dance in.

  • Check your schedule and come to rehearsal "off book" for the scenes and songs we are working on that day.

Tech Week

Tech Week Rehearsals
November 9 - 14
Times (TBD)
Location: Sierra 2 (24th Street Theater)

  • Tech week is an exciting week of rehearsals at the theater when we set the technical aspects of the show, and for the first time the cast and crew start working with sets, props, costumes, lights, sound, and spacing.

  • Cast and crew members will be scheduled for 3 dress rehearsals.

  • All tech week rehearsals and performances are mandatory.



November 15 - 17 (times TBA)

Location: 24th Street Theater (Sierra 2)

Cast and crew call time is 1 hour prior to each performance.  

Daytime school performance: Friday, November15

Dismissal letters will be given to all cast members to give to their teachers.  This will be considered an excused absence in accordance with the California Education Code, Section 48225.5 (a)(2).
