Caleb students in grades 1-6 are welcome to join the cast of this fun-filled musical. This session introduces students to a wide range of theatrical skills through the lens of the show. Cast members will see their hard work pay off, and feel the magic of the stage when this full scale production is presented at 24th Street Theater (Sierra 2). Rehearsal sessions take place at your school site. Cast members must currently attend Caleb Greenwood. All registered cast members are cast in the ensemble. Auditions determine featured roles.

Registration
Registration: $295

Registration is open to Caleb Greenwood students in 1st-6th grade.
Registration is a 2 step process. Your completed online registration form and tuition payment must be received in order to reserve your spot. Registration closes when full or on November 27, whichever comes first. Everyone registered will be cast in the ensemble. Auditions will determine specific roles.
Waitlist: If the cast is full you may request to be placed on the waitlist by completing the online registration form. No payment will be due until you have been notified of an opening.
Refund Policy: No refund of tuition will be made after November 27. If you withdraw by November 27, your tuition will be refunded minus a $75 cancelation fee.
Parent Commitment: By registering for this workshop session, each family agrees to complete one volunteer position. Click this Parent Committee Link for jobs and descriptions. If you are unable to commit to a parent position, please include the $100 "opt out" fee with your tuition payment.
Costumes: Cast members will be responsible for providing their own costumes. Ideas and recommendations will be provided. We will keep the requirements as simple as possible, at the same time allow for creativity for those who enjoy doing more.
Auditions
General Auditions
Monday, December 4 (2:30-5:00pm)
Location: Caleb Multi-Purpose Room
Audition materials and information will be emailed to registered cast members by November 28. Cast members will choose one song and one audition scene from the show.
Callbacks
Monday, December 11
Location: Caleb Multi-Purpose Room
The callback list and schedule will be emailed after the general auditions. Those called back will be asked to dance, read sides from the script, and sing for specific roles. All registered participants will be cast in the ensemble. Auditions determine featured roles.
Rehearsals
Dates: January 8 - February 23
Times: Mondays/Wednesdays (2:30-5:00pm)
Location: Caleb Multi-Purpose Room
*Due to Monday holidays, makeup rehearsals will take place on Fridays (Jan. 19, Feb. 16, Feb. 23).
Rehearsal schedules may vary depending on what is being rehearsed. You may not be scheduled for the entire rehearsal session each day. You will receive a detailed schedule once the cast list has been posted.
Absences: Attendance is very important. Due to limited rehearsal time we will not be able to go back and re-teach or re-stage scenes for students who are absent. You may not miss more than 3 rehearsals. If a cast member misses a rehearsal, they may not be placed in that particular number. Include any conflicts you have on your registration form in advance.
Tech Week &
Performances
Dates: February 24 - March 3
(The tech week schedule has been coordinated with the 5th Grade Westminster Woods trip, and will not conflict.)
Times: TBA (Cast and crew call time is 1 hour prior to each performance.)
Location: 24th Street Theater (Sierra 2)
Tech week is an exciting week of rehearsals at the theater when we set the technical aspects of the show, and for the first time the cast and crew start working with sets, props, costumes, lights, sound, and spacing. Each cast will have 3 dress rehearsals and 2 performances.
Attendance: All tech week rehearsals and performances are mandatory. There can be no absences. Missing a mandatory rehearsal may result in being removed from the show.
